Mlimba District Council, Vacancies- September 2025

Mlimba District Council was officially established on 5th May, 2020 through a certificate of establishment and GN 305A under the provisions of sections 7, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the Local Government (District Authorities) Act, 1982. This council is a result of the conversion of the administrative area of ​​the former Kilombero District Council to form Mlimba District Council and Ifakara Town Council. Mlimba District Council is one of the 9 district councils in Morogoro Region, the other councils being Malinyi, Ulanga, Ifakara, Morogoro Municipality, Morogoro DC, Kilosa, Mvomero and Gairo. The Mlimba District Council Headquarters is located in Itongowa village, Mngeta ward, 320 km from the regional headquarters of Mororogoro, and in terms of borders, it borders Ifakara Town and Morogoro Municipality to the North East, Mufindi and Njombe Districts to the South and South West, it borders Kilolo District to the North, and Malinyi District to the South East. Administratively, Mlimba District Council has 2 divisions (Mngeta, and Mlimba), 16 wards, 62 villages and 244 hamlets. In accordance with Section 148 of the Local Government (District Authorities) Act of 1982, Mlimba District Council like other local government authorities is responsible for carrying out three main functions which are:- To maintain law, order and good governance;
