Africa Healthcare Network, Vacancy – June 2025

Africa Healthcare Network (AHN) Tanzania is a leading provider of renal care services, dedicated to expanding access to high-quality, affordable dialysis treatment across the country. As part of AHN’s broader East African network, Tanzania plays a pivotal role in the organization’s mission to address the growing burden of kidney disease in Sub-Saharan Africa. Founded in 2015, AHN has rapidly grown to become the largest operator of dialysis clinics in East Africa, with over 45 centers across Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda. In Tanzania, AHN operates multiple dialysis centers, including facilities in Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Mbeya, Iringa, and Songea. These centers are strategically located to serve both urban and underserved rural communities, ensuring that patients have access to life-saving renal care regardless of their location. A significant milestone in AHN’s expansion was the securing of $20 million in funding in 2023, led by Africa50 and AfricInvest. This investment is intended to accelerate AHN’s growth, enhance technological capabilities, and strengthen its healthcare workforce. The funding supports AHN’s goal of expanding its network to over 100 centers across Africa by 2025, further solidifying its commitment to improving renal care on the continent. AHN is also committed to sustainability and local empowerment. Approximately 99% of its 400 employees are local, with 65% being female, including a majority in leadership positions. This focus on local employment and gender equality underscores AHN’s dedication to community development and capacity building. With its headquarters in Dar es Salaam, AHN Tanzania continues to play a crucial role in transforming kidney care, offering hope and improved quality of life to patients across the region.
