As one of the first cold chain operators in the country the company painstakingly pioneered its way into the local market and today has become a frontrunner in sustainable agro-food industrialization. During this period, based on us on the ground experience we gained an in depth understanding of the many challenges facing private sector entrepreneurs especially newcomers. From there and with the objective to deliver on a maximum of SDG’s we developed a strategy blueprint within a business structure tailored to deliver on transforming subsistence farming into an innovative circular agri-food model. 2010, Frostan start-up as a pilot operating in cold chain distribution of mainly imported foods. 2016 Slow but gradual increase in activity from 2010. Based on market realities and in depth research a strategy of establishing converging agricultural value chains emerges to position the company on a solid foundation for long term sustainable development. 2017 Startup of the interim plant at Mikocheni, startup of the chicken value chain and attained Halal certification.
