Kishapu District was established in July 1, 2002 as a result of the division of Shinyanga District Council. On July 1, 2006, the Advisory was officially launched after announcing from the Government Gazette on July 29, 2005 and No. 220 GN. Kishapu District Council is among three districts that form the Shinyanga Region where the other districts are Kahama and Shinyanga. The district is adjacent to the Meatu District (Iranian) and Iramba (Singida) on its east side and Shinyanga on the west, Igunga on the south, Kwimba and Maswa on the north. The district has a 4,333 square kilometer equivalent to 8.5 percent of the total area of the total area of 50,781 square kilometers. The total area of human settlements is 1,536.4 square kilometers, which is 35.5 percent of the total area, the agricultural area of the area is 1,898.33, which is 43.8 per cent of the total area. The veterinary area is 747.02 square kilometers, which is 17.2 percent of the total area, forest area is 100.78 square kilometers, which is 2.3 per cent of total area and 50.47% of which is 1.2 per cent of total area. The district has three quarters, 29 counties and 117 villages where it has one constituency province. The district has succeeded in establishing the small town of Kishapu.
